“Jeter l’ancre” is a tribute bringing together 52 artists and 3 poets who wish to celebrate the friendships woven over the years. Centered on a group exhibition and the launch of a publication dedicated to the project—a testament to the encounters inspired by Aline and her work—this event highlights the richness of the bonds and shared creations.
I feel honored to have been invited to be part of this tribute and to have known and worked alongside Aline, both in Canada and in Buenos Aires.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
On November 22, 2021, Aline Beaudoin left us, leaving a great void. Thje artist held an important place in the history of printmaking in Québec and in the hearts of the members of Atelier Presse Papier in Trois-Rivières, Canada.
In her homage, Presse Papier launched a project to pay tribute to her and to honor the friendships she nurtured over the years. Aline had a remarkable ability to touch others. Deeply loyal to her friendships, we are reaching out to you because each of you was important to her.
The idea of a group exhibition and a catalogue—tracing the encounters she inspired—was shaped by Aline and her work.
